Kool Korners is indeed closing

Earlier this month, I posted about this mysterious sign that I saw on Kool Korners:

After receiving an "anonymous" tip (really just an unsigned comment left on the blog) that Kool Korners has definitely closed, I did some investigative reporting and found this on Citysearch's profile for Kool Korners:

"I just got off the phone today 7/23/08 at 11:45 am with the owner, and he sadly told me that Kook Korners will be closed for good."

There are so many restaurants closing in Atlanta lately!

This is so sad. I am running out of lunch spots that aren't heinously priced in Midtown!

this saddens me so much :( no Cuban will ever come close to Kool Korners standard!

I still hold a grudge toward my employer for moving us from an office building within walking distance of Kool Korners... and that happened nearly ten years ago!

Thanks for years of great Cuban sandwiches!

Does anyone know how to get in touch with the owner? Did it close because their building was sold or did something happen with the owners? I have a property close by and would be interested in trying to move them just down the street if they still wanted to be open for business. let me know.

Tyler, maybe get in touch with one of the people that commented on this site:
http://www.yelp.com/biz/kool-korners-grocery-atlanta

One of them mentions that the owner is considering relocating.

The landlord of KoolKorners has sold the property. Mr. Ramirez, the tenant and manager of Kool Korner Gro. moved to be with his son in Alabama. All the stuff inside that place went with him.
I am sad also. I never had food as good as that.

Sadly , it is true about the Kool Korner's closing. The korner will never be the same.
