brunch + mimosas = no other way to live

My friends and I have turned one impromptu bruncheon date into a standing affair every Sunday. There are plenty of good places for brunch in town (places that do NOT have the word "biscuit" in their name) but, you see, we're a bunch of lushes. We need alcohol to have a good time and brunch is no exception.

"another mimosa, miss?"
"by now, do you even have to ask?"

I'm pretty sick of Murphy's, enjoyed Watershed, and was quite disappointed by the brunch at Solstice Cafe last Sunday.

So I ask you, lovely blog readers, what is your favorite bruncheon place in town that serves booze? We need suggestions!

Sun in My Belly has a good brunch! Bring your own champagne, and they provide the pitcher of OJ.

I prefer to eat LUNCH at Six Feet Under, where the bloody mary bar is superb. and I avoid Carrol Street Cafe and Einstein's AT ALL COSTS!!

The Treehouse has an AMAZING brunch complete with bloody marys, mimosas and the most delicious eggs benedict ever. Try the one with spinich and smoked salmon.

I fully agree with Sun in my belly and the dislike of Einstein's.

I'd also add
-Cafe di Sol (formerly Eclipse di Sol - particularly for lunch, but they have brunch too)
-Buckhead Bread Co (sorry no booze but great french toast)
-West Egg Cafe (I don't know about the booze.....)

Didn't Sala used to have brunch? Mexican-style brunch would be awesome.....

Wow, I think Sun in My Belly might be a clear winner for this week.
Followed by Rebekah's then Treehouse and Cafe di Sol?? :) I'll call West Egg about the booze. It's important.

honestly, i've never been disappointed at apres diem. i hate going there at night (insert club music), and the best place is to sit at the bar to avoid "too cool for you" service.

ETK, you do know that Sun In My Belly is a 30-second walk from me, right?! (hint hint hint)

My favorite Sunday brunch place is Canoe, and they serve alcoholic drinks there, beginning at 12:30 PM. The "Riverside" may be the perfect brunch menu item; eggs scrambled perfectly every time, six or so pieces of great bacon, hash browns and French toast covered with fresh berries. Start with their pastry or scone basket, some terrific coffee (or other drinks, you alkies!). Some serious grub.

Stella has a great brunch with an Italian spin - plus a bloody mary bar and a Wii. Woo hoo!

I am partial to Parrish in Inman Park. Good drinks. But my favorite is the Dogshead Biscuit with sauce from their Fried Green Tomato sandwich.

You know what I remembered after I wrote this post? Pura Vida now has brunch. That could be really tasty, me thinks.

Vickery's Glenwood has awesome shrimp & grits, The Bureau has a new 25 cent brunch with $3.25 bloody marys and mimosas, but I haven't tried that yet.

I used to like going to Gordon Biersch but only during the summer because of the patio. Standard has a pretty good brunch too.
