Shecky's Girls Night Out- Oct. 29-30

Shecky's is this national shopping party/event that travels around to different cities. There are lots of jewelry, purse, clothing, accessory, etc. designers who come out for the event and offer their items at really great discounted rates. On top of that, lots of national brands are there with drinks and appetizers. Think of it as a giant sample sale with sponsors.

One of the big draws to the Shecky events are their goodie bags. Supposedly each person who signs up in advance will receive a goodie bag with $100 worth of "cool stuff". I wasn't overly impressed with mine last time, but I've heard they have gotten better over the last year. And who doesn't like free stuff? It is $25 to sign up, but you get a buy-one-get-one free admission. So either invite a friend, or split the fee.

Click on the graphic for more information and to sign up. I think it's worth the time and $$$. I got a really great necklace last time around.

Urban Cottage Website Launch

One of DI's favorite stores has just launched its website. Although it is not set up for e-commerce, you can take a look at all the cool items they have for sale. I especially love the pinch pots and other unique handmade pottery by Carla Kaiser. She is a great local artist that does amazing claywork.

You should also check out the Invitations section to see the unique wedding and baby invites by Matt Berinato exclusively available at Urban Cottage. It almost makes me want to get married.
